Intel and McDonald's Hook Up to Push Wi-Fi

【注释】hook up, 也作hookup, “形成某种联系或纽带”，本意是“连接上，和…汇合”：a satellite hookup with America 和美国接通的卫星联播网； The electrician hooked up the doorbell. 电工把门铃与电源接通。另外，be/get hooked on 意为“迷上（某事物）”：She’s completely hooked on the idea of a camping holiday. 她一心想着来个野营度假。此外，关于hook还有几个有趣的成语，如by hook or by crook, hook是“钩子”， crook意思是“骗术”，所以它的意思是“千方百计地，不择手段地”：I'll find out where she lives by hook or by crook. 我要千方百计找到她的住所； hook, line and sinker, 字面意思是“鱼钩，鱼线和坠子”，原来是钓鱼的全套用具，它的意思就是“完全地，无保留地（相信）”：She swallowed the unlikely story hook, line and sinker. 她完全相信了那个不大可能的事。 off the hook, 字面意思是“脱钩”，实际意思是“摆脱困境”：I'll be out of town when the managing director visits us, so that lets me off the hook. 当经理来视察的时候我已经出城了，这样我就解脱了。
Intel Corp., the world's biggest computer-chip maker, and McDonald's Corp., the world's biggest restaurant chain, are teaming up to market wireless connectivity to the Internet in some McDonald's restaurants, the companies said on Tuesday.
