【注释】coalition, “a union of separate political parties for a special purpose, usually for a limited period of time.” 联盟，联合：Government by coalition has its own peculiar set of problems. 通过联盟组成的政府有其特有的问题。 Take tough line on sb/sth, 对某人/某事物采取强硬态度。也可以说成 take a tough line/stance on, 或 get tough with, 如：The government is continuing to take a tough stance/line on terrorism. 政府继续以强硬手段对付恐怖活动。 Tough 在这里的意思是“showing strong determination, uncompromising 强硬的，不妥协的”。
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's hawkish coalition is likely to pursue a tough line on the Palestinian revolt and peace-making after parliament gave the new government a stamp of approval on Friday.
